What personal data do I collect?

When you subscribed to the readers club, I asked you for your email address.

Why do I collect this information?

I will use your information to send you emails containing updates, exclusive information and giveaways.

I require this information to send you the email.

What do I do with your information?

I use wix.com and Google mail to manage my email subscriber list and to send emails to my subscribers. Wix.com and Google Mail may process your data using industry standard technologies to help me monitor and improve my newsletter.

You can unsubscribe from my newsletter at anytime by telling me to unsubscribe. I will undertake this myself to ensure it is done.

How long do I keep your information for?

I will keep your information for as long as you wish to remain a member of the readers club. Your personal information will then be deleted if you wish to be removed from the list.

Your rights over your information

By law, you can ask me what information I hold about you, and you can ask me to correct it if it is inaccurate. All fields are self-filled when you join the list, so the information I hold is information you completed.

You can also ask me to give you a copy of the information and to stop using your information for a period of time if you believe I am not doing so lawfully.

On request, I will delete data.

If someone asked to see their data, I would take a screenshot of their entry/entries.

I aim to respond to all requests within 72 hours and usually much sooner (allowing for holiday/travelling, as I am the only person holding/having access to the data).

I have appointed myself as the Data Protection Officer – in the absence of anyone else.

My lead data protection supervisory authority is the UK’s ICO.
